Frontec was founded in 1981 and was listed on the O-list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange 1995.
Resco was founded in 1982 and developed during the 1990s an international consultancy firm with strong focus on integration and ERP systems. The company was listed on the O list of the Stockholm Stock Exchange 1996.
Acando was founded in 1999, focusing on generating genuine customer benefit by offering cutting edge competence in the fields of operations, IT and change management. The focus on genuine improvement quickly attracted over 300 experienced consultants.
AcandoFrontec was formed by the merger between Acando and Frontec on 1st July 2003.
Acando was formed in March 2006 through the merger of the companies AcandoFrontec, Resco and e-motion technology. Through the merger with Resco, Acando became an international company with operations also in Finland and Germany.
In 2006 and 2007 Acando established offices in Denmark and the UK. Acando also acquired the Norwegian consulting company Abeo, with approximately 90 consultants in Oslo and Trondheim.
Late 2009 Acando acquired the Danish consulting company March IT, with approximately 30 consultants.
