Acando GmbH doubles turnover with CMS Projects
2011-02-09
Management and IT consultancy Acando GmbH doubles its sales with portal and content management systems. The growing demand for established standards and integration with other business systems was especially strong.
By implementing commercial content management systems (CMS), the consulting company recorded a skyrocketing increase in demand. Just with projects involving the FirstSpirit and CoreMedia systems alone, Acando was able to double sales in the CMS area in 2010 to almost two million Euros as compared to the previous year. For the current year, many projects have already been firmly scheduled. Intranets, websites and public portals must comply with the current standards for flexibility, personalization and usability; integrating data from various systems of a company continues to be a high priority. Portal and content management solutions are currently being brought up to date at medium-sized and large companies in particular.
“Our customers are convinced of the added value provided by integrated systems based on established standards. To ensure their architecture, integration and future prospects are secured for the long term, they count on support from our experienced specialists,” says Peter Ostrop, member of the Acando Management Board Germany and responsible for Sales & Distribution. In the last year, Acando provided support with large FirstSpirit projects at Hamburg Süd, Itzehoer Versicherungen and Edeka among others. Integration always played an integral role. One German federal state bank decided to dissolve the old CMS to integrate their portal and intranet with help from Acando, thus making a wide range of information and applications centrally available to their employees.
“We are pleased that Acando relies on FirstSpirit for their challenging projects,” confirmed Johannes Häusele, CEO of the e-Spirit AG. “The outstanding expertise of consultants at Acando ensures their customers’ projects run smoothly,” he continued. In 2011, Acando is expecting a further increase in demand and is hiring a large number of suitably qualified consultants. Portal and content management solutions are a part of the consulting company’s strategic focus.
